    • Abstract:
The Genre Fiction Workshop is one of the latest teaching approach and exploratory initiative within Fudan University's Creative Writing program, evolving from the Fiction Workshop established by Wang Anyi. The Genre Fiction Workshop adopts "practice + discussion" as its teaching model, and the utilization of a predefined writing topic as its teaching characteristic. On this basis, the workshop introduces narrative techniques specific to genre fiction and an anonymous review mechanism, prompting students to accumulate narrative skills, break writing conventions, and discern the quality of their exercises, in order to foster their professional literary proficiency ultimately. Meanwhile, the workshop represents a valuable reference for the innovative advancement of creative writing programs. The workshop boasts a clear classroom process, a rich evaluation system, and notable teaching effects, providing a useful reference for the innovative development of the Creative Writing major.
