The article focuses on origin of the term "guerrilla" which in Spanish means small wars. According to the author, it originated during Napoleon's Peninsular Campaign wherein he deposed the Spanish royals and gave the crown to his brother. He added that Napoleon tried to institute his view of a secular state on the Catholic Spanish people that led to the formation of guerrillas with the encouragement of the priests and monks.
