      The article focuses on a study related to love hotels in Japan. It specifically analyzes the roles of these love hotels in the sexual practices and concepts of people. Moreover, it reports on the associations of the people's ideas and practices on the individuation processes in the society of Japan. The author further explains some of the terms used throughout the paper including sex, sexuality, intimacy and agency. It also presents interviews of adults who used love hotels for sexual intercourse.
