      The article profiles writer Adriana Lisboa, who is celebrated as one of the most bucketful voice in contemporary Brazilian fiction. It states that her literary début came in 1999, with the publication of her first novel "Os fios da memória." Within Brazil's vibrant literary scene, Lisboa is accordingly acclaimed as a new outstanding female voice in what the critic Beatriz Resende has rightly described as a traditionally male-dominated territory. In addition, Lisboa acknowledged that her prose against the grain of the neo-naturalist aesthetic that characterizes a significant trend in contemporary socially engaged and transgressive Brazilian prose fiction.
