    • Abstract:
The article discusses author Caroline Starr Rose and her novel "May B.," which was the result of an impromptu decision in 2009 to quit her job as a teacher and devote herself to writing full-time. Dissatisfaction with her original prose version of "May B." spurred Rose to rewrite it in verse form. "May B." was published by Schwartz & Wade in January 2012, and she has since sold another book "Over the Wetlands," to the same publisher.
