«More than two» or couple as a network Gay love in contemporary Argentinean cultural productions. (English)
    • Abstract:
Couples are usually thought as a mere conformation of free choice of two individuals that love each other. In that analytical scheme, the relationship is a bond between two individuals. In this paper I propose a conceptual alternative when I conceive couples as a network, in which other people take part. From an analysis of love stories among men that appeared in contemporary Argentinean cultural productions, I consider the ways in which other people conform couple narratives, both to gather the partners or take them apart. Focusing on how mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, daughters and sons, friends and third parties participate in the assembling of love stories among men allows me to examine meanings about gay love. • Abstract:
