    • Abstract:
There can be many differences between states related to the operation Department of Child Protective Services, which are operated by the states in the United States. In some states, cases are heard in family court rather than juvenile court. Some states operate residential treatment centers where parents and children can live together while the parents are working to improve parenting skills. Investigating allegations of child abuse and determining whether or not to remove children from their homes is an extremely important job, yet the training and background requirements for caseworkers varies from one area to another.
