- Abstract: Fantasy, as a creative potential of the creator, points to the deepest and most personal processes of artistic inspiration, creation, and action. However, what happens with the fantasy when the performer becomes, in certain sense, equal coauthor of the artistic creation? What happens if we consider performing to be a method of composing? When what is before us is a performance that emerged from the compositional techniques that include aleatoricism and indeterminism, whose fantasy are we listening to? In this paper, I will try to answer these questions by examining the principles by which the piece Aria (1958) is written (in composer's imagination as well as performance). This piece was composed by John Cage, American composer and philosopher of art, in collaboration with Cathy Berberian, singer and artist, and it is dedicated to her. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
- Abstract: Fantazija, kao kreativni potencijal stvaraoca, upućuje na najdublje i najličnije procese umetničke inspiracije, stvaranja i delanja. U ovom performer becomes, in certain sense, equal coauthor of the artistic creation? What happens if we consider performing to be a method of composing? When what is before us is a performance that emerged radu pokušaću da dobijem odgovore na ova pitanja sagledavajući principe na kojima nastaje (u kompozitorskog imaginaciji i izvođenju) delo Arija (1958) američkog eksperimentalnog kompozitora i filozofa umetnosti Džona Kejdža, koje je napisano u saradnji sa pevačicom i umetnicom Keti Berberijan i njoj je posvećeno.
