    • Abstract:
      The article describes the case of a newborn boy with friction-induced blisters and erosions on the tops of his feet and ankles shortly after birth diagnosed as dominant dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa (DDEB). It describes the etiology of DDEB and its gastrointestinal complications. Differential diagnosis for DDEB include inherited and acquired bullous disorders, Stevens-Johnson syndrome and toxic epidermal necrolysis. The patient received supportive therapy and appropriate wound care.
