    • Abstract:
The essay considers how four Protestant works translated into Irish which were published between 1567 and 1608 help to provide cultural insights into the Reformation, Irish culture, and Gaelic-speaking reformers of the early modern period. Some of the subjects considered include the Anglican Church of Ireland, British print culture, and the relationship between church and state both in Ireland and England.
