Estudio de la perícopa desde una perspectiva interdisciplinar. se recorre la historia de las sucesivas comprensiones e interpretaciones del pasaje hasta el inicio del siglo IV d.C. el análisis histórico-crítico de Gn 4,1-16 desvela desde los orígenes las líneas esenciales que estarán presentes en las sucesivas relecturas. la literatura intertestamentaria limita la ambigüedad inicial presente en algunos elementos de la narración, influyendo de manera decisiva en la recepción neotestamentaria. Abel se configura como un ejemplo de fe y su sacrificio sirve de anuncio y explicación del Misterio Pascual. En los Padres de la iglesia, la narración servirá para hablar de la interioridad humana, del pecado y de la redención, de la economía salvífica de la nueva ley, del sentido del mal en el mundo, de la necesidad de unidad en la iglesia, etc. las circunstancias históricas que los Padres vivieron explican el modo en que fue interpretada la narración, pues el contexto en el que vivieron suscitó preguntas a las que el pasaje daba respuesta adecuada en continuidad con las lecturas anteriores. el uso de la escritura realizado por los gnósticos, la proximidad de las persecuciones y el riesgo del martirio forman parte de las circunstancias históricas que dieron ocasión a los Padres para enriquecer de sentido la perícopa. A study of the passage from an interdisciplinary perspective. the investigation is about the history of the successive understandings and interpretations of the passage up to the beginning of the fourth century ad. the historical-critical analysis of Gn 4,1-16 reveals from the beginning the essential lines that will be present in successive re-readings. the intertestamental Jewish literature reduces the initial ambiguity evident in some elements of the narration, influencing in a decisive way its reception within the new testament. Abel is portrayed as an example of faith and his sacrifice serves as an announcement and explanation of the Paschal Mystery. in the Fathers of the church, the narration will be employed to speak about the human inner-world, sin and redemption, the economy of the new law, the sense of evil in the world, the necessity of unity in the church, etc. the historical circumstances of the Fathers account for the way in which the narration was interpreted, because the context in which they lived raised questions answered by the passage in continuity with the previous readings. the Bible's use by Gnostics, the proximity of the persecutions and the risk of martyrdom form part of the historical circumstances that prompt the Fathers to enrich the meaning of the passage.
