- Abstract: The article discusses the emergence of new technologies to help older adults receive proper, efficient, convenient and cost-effective care and attention needed to age in place at home. Topics discussed include telemedicine and Health Buddy Program to support improved health outcomes and reduced health services use, factors leading to increased adoption of technologies such as older adults having higher technology comfort level, and technology cost and lack of reimbursement as adoption barriers.
