Go back in time and bask in the nostalgia of the 80s and 90s as the Charleston County Public Library (CCPL) hosts the 2023 Summer Reading Program: Reading is Radical. In partnership with the Charleston County School District (CCSD), the program promotes reading and offers incentives throughout the summer, along with featured events for all ages at our library branches. Prize pickup begins June 1.
Join the Challenge Online
Earning prizes is even easier this year with the launch of our new online platform, Beanstack, where participants can track and log their reading online or through the app. If you don’t have access to internet or a device, you can request a paper reading log at your local branch.

Summer Feeding
CCPL is providing free meals and snacks at select branches this summer in partnership with CCSD and the Lowcountry Food Bank. The program begins on June 12th and runs through August 4th.
