- Abstract: The article presents the author's views on Chinese artist and activist Ai Weiwei, highlighting the 2012 documentary film "Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry." Ai Weiwei reportedly became popular internationally due to his contributions to the 2008 Beijing Olympics, however he distanced himself from the project after the earthquake that killed thousands of children. Weiwei reportedly believed that officials accepted bribes to construct school buildings made with unreinforced concrete. Also discussed are China's political history, lack of human rights and civil liberties in China, and Weiwei's use of art to rebel against the Chinese government.
