      The article discusses the potential that work in the future will be dominated by automatons and artificial intelligence (AI), within the context of Luddites' revolt and vandalism against machines taking their factory jobs in the early 19th century textile industry in England. The impact that machines have on employee dismissals, including in regard to industrial productivity, are discussed.
