      The March 1, 2004 issue of the journal "Volta Review" explores the importance of communication strategies that are taught through Auditory-Verbal therapy. The growing number of children receiving cochlear implants requires deeper exploration into the different options that parents have for providing therapy to their children. Auditory-Verbal therapy has been in existence for a considerable period of time and is often successful with many children who have residual hearing. The two articles presented in this issue of the journal explore a variety of subject matter with respect to this training methodology.
