- Abstract: The article discusses the future of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) after a U.S. federal judge in Texas ruled that the law is unconstitutional. According to the author, the law will remain constitutional pending appeal and the ruling will not stand. He comments on the move by the Department of Justice to decline to defend the ACA. He also discusses the severability of the ACA from a tax penalty.
