- Subject Terms:
- Abstract: The objective of the work is to study dangerousness from criminological publications, a category that was framed within the impregnation of criminological positivism in psychiatric and prison settings, as well as the reception of dissimilar positions such as criminal dogmatics. For this we will review the collection of specialized publications that were a reference for professionals and experts such as the Revista de Criminología, Psiquiatría y Medicina Legal and Anales de la Sociedad Argentina de Criminología between 1933 and 1946, both directed by the psychiatrist Osvaldo Loudet and edited from the Graphics Workshops of the National Penitentiary. From them, a contribution was made to the debates with a predominance of a psychiatric grid and academic exchanges between countries in the region on dangerousness that was used in psychiatric indices for criminological offices, studies on dangerousness without crime and the need for scientific training of judges.
