Topics discussed are antiaging effect of bakuchiol which is used in place of retinol, function of trans-4-(aminomethyl)cyclohexane carboxyclic acid or tranexamic acid as an agent for lightening skin pigmentation as well as a prescription antifibrinolytic drug, and role of L-ergothioneine and its receptor/transporter in the antioxidant defenses of the skin.
