    • Abstract:
The article presents information on the causes, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of pneumonia. Pneumonia is an inflammation of the lung caused by infection with bacteria, viruses, or other organisms. Pneumonia is usually triggered when a person's defense system is weakened, most often by a simple viral upper respiratory tract infection or a case of influenza. Community-Acquired Pneumonia often follows a viral respiratory infection, such as influenza. HPV is second to RSV in causing pneumonia and bronchitis in children and is also an important cause of pneumonia in the elderly and in patients with damaged immune systems.
