      The aim of the article is to analyze the first stage of the institutionalization of Social Anthropology in Spain from its foundation (1969-1974) until the approval of the Degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology in 1991 as a result of the University Reform Law (1983). The professional consolidation of anthropologists and a polycentric institutionalization project derived from the Law are described. The methodological approach is a generational model to explain the process, as well as the strategies of the professional group involved. The article is based on historiographical, ethnographic and oral sources. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

      El objetivo del artículo es analizar la primera etapa de la institucionalización de la Antropología Social en España, desde su fundación (1969-1974) hasta la aprobación de la Licenciatura de Antropología Social y Cultural en 1991 fruto de la Ley de Reforma Universitaria (1983). Se describe la consolidación profesional de los antropólogos y un proyecto de institucionalización policéntrico derivado de la Ley. Se aplica un modelo generacional para explicar el proceso, así como las estrategias del colectivo profesional implicado. El artículo se fundamenta en fuentes historiográficas, etnográficas y orales.
