    • Abstract:
Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, an iconic sprinter from Jamaica, reflects on her historic career and the legacy she hopes to leave behind. She discusses the pride and support she feels from her home country and emphasizes the ability of Jamaicans to come together and support one another. Fraser-Pryce's career highlights include becoming the first Black Caribbean woman to win Olympic gold in the 100m race and winning five world titles in an individual running event. She plans to retire after the 2024 Paris Olympics to spend more time with her family but remains focused on training and pushing her boundaries. Fraser-Pryce is also dedicated to giving back to her community and has founded the Pocket Rocket Foundation to support student athletes in Jamaica. She has also worked with Nike to invest in athletic spaces and bring Internet connectivity to her community. [Extracted from the article]
