    • Abstract:
According to a recent poll, the majority of Venezuelans living in the US would only consider returning to their home country if there is a political change, specifically if the opposition wins the upcoming presidential elections. Even if the economy improves, less than 15% would return if President Nicolás Maduro secures a third term. The poll also found that economic stabilization alone would not be enough to encourage migrants to return. The study suggests that without political change, migration from Venezuela is expected to continue, with estimates of another two million Venezuelans leaving the country if Maduro is reelected.
