      The article looks back at the competitions in painting, sculpture, architecture, music and literature that were part of the Olympic Games. Information is provided on the triptych by Jean Jacoby which won first prize and the oil painting "The Liffey Swim" by Jack Butler Yeats which won the silver medal in the art competition during the 1924 Paris Olympic Games in France. It cites the case of the Discus Thrower bronze sculpture which was transferred to Randall's Island in New York.
