      The article focuses on the history and development of Cuban American Literature. The issues related to the problem of defining different Cuban literatures like Cuban literature, Cuban exile literature and Cuban American literature are discussed. According to the author Cuban American authors are those who live and write in the United States, about whatever topics may interest them and they should be placed in generational cohorts for ease of classification. The author also discusses history of Cuban theatre and the problems related to differentiating between its different genre.
