      The article focuses on the advantages and disadvantages of content distribution when it is incorporated with digital conversion technologies. The disadvantages include file-sharing, appropriation of graphics and artwork, and pirated computer software and motion pictures. The advantages include the ability to preserve, archive, and distribute the scattered pieces of social, cultural and artistic histories. Universities, libraries, nonprofit organizations and even some commercial companies have the responsibility to secure their vaults to let computer users access what was once virtually lost to history.
