      The article focuses on the significance of the organizational climate to the safety efforts of a company. The safety issue has a powerful influence over employee perceptions of climate. Being climate-conscious affects employees' financial decision-making, including insisting on medical treatment that requires a workers' compensation claim. One common element of safety programs that can work to undermine and poison the climate is through a light-duty program.
