    • Abstract:
The article focuses on the collaboration of the scientists in atomic research. The international ties were strengthened in February 1959 when Soviet atomic energy specialists visited French scientific institutions-atomic power stations, a uranium mine and factories for processing uranium ore. The Soviet specialists in controlled thermonuclear reactions went to England where they visited the English scientific centers. The visit of N. Khrushchev to the U.S. had increased the possibilities for the collaboration of Soviet and American scientists. Soviet scientists spent 21 days in the U.S. in visiting the research centers, power stations in operation, the atomic-powered freight and passenger ship under construction, uranium mines and a chemical plant for processing uranium ore.
