- Abstract: In this article the author discusses the importance of community and regional theater in Great Britain. The 2007 cuts in government funding for such endeavors is noted, the author stating that money for the arts was reduced in order to pay for Britain's hosting of the Olympic games in 2012. The national importance of regional theater is described.
