    • Abstract:
The article deals with the golden age experienced by magazines. "The New Yorker" has four golden ages and "Esquire" has its golden age from 1961 to 1973. "Esquire" published breathtaking pieces by Gay Talese, Tom Wolfe and Norman Mailer. The author also addresses the misconception that magazines are the product of an overarching ego.
