      The article reports that Canadian Olympic winners at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, China will receive $20,000 for each gold medal, $15,000 for silver and $10,00 for bronze. The awards will apply to all Canadian Olympic athletes, including those playing team sports such as soccer and baseball. The rewards will be paid by the nonprofit Canadian Olympic Committee, which gets its money through fundraising and donations from corporate sponsors.
