    • Abstract:
The article looks at the laboratory test developed by Azlin Mustapha and Luxin Wang of the University of Missouri (MU) in Columbia which detects Salmonella in chicken and eggs. Mustapha explains that the test allows one to get the results within 12 hours versus five days with the traditional method. It notes that the technique enables the poultry industry to accurately and rapidly test for contamination before the product is shipped.
