    • Abstract:
By comparing the variants of the 38 manuscripts of the Crónica de Sancho IV (included in the Crónica de tres reyes) we came across some unexpected facts. This paper focuses on some particularities of the E1 (Esc M- II-2) manuscript that lead us to think of an existing relation between Royal historiographic production and the works produced in the noble circles, in reaction to King Alphonsus X's policies and ideology. The analysis of the episode of Alfaro's magnicide results in general conclusions about the coexistence of texts showing different political orientations in mid-14th century Castille. • Abstract:
