SENTIDO Y FORMA DE LAS LLAMADAS NOVELLETES SENTIMENTALS Y SU RELACIÓN CON LA NOVELA SENTIMENTAL CASTELLANA DEL SIGLO XV. (Spanish)

Meaning and form of the so-called Novelletes sentimentals and their relation wit h fifteenth century Castilian sentimental novel Only three of the seven short texts --none have more than 30 pages-- that have been published under that name by Pacheco & Bower in 1983 should be mentioned as novels ; the others are concis e and monologic and lack a story ; they do not answer properly to a narrativa genre . After presentin g this background, this paper will analyze some motifs relatad to the anonymous Faula de les amors de Neptuno i Diana and Somni de Francesch Allegre, and Castilian novels . This analysis shows a s a collateral result that the intention of those texts is not tragic as it was in the sentimental novel . As to the consequences for Castilian novels, as I stated in my book La unidad genérica de la novela sentimental española de los siglos XV y XVI (1999), we can trace some situations, but in such rudimentary patterns does not lie the interest of the novelletes . This is to be found, on the contrary , in features that it shares with sentimental novel in style and in the configuration of singular ori- ginal scenes, some of which can be connected with motifs in the works of Juan de Flores or Dieg o de San Pedro [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Solo tres de los siete textos breves --ninguno tiene más que 30 páginas-- que han sido edita - dos bajo ese nombre por Pacheco & Bower en 1983 merecen ser mencionados como novelas ; los otros son escuetos y monológicos y carecen de una fábula ; no responden propiamente a ningún géner o narrativo . Una vez presentado este panorama, se procede al análisis de algunos motivos emparentados entre la anónima Faula de les amors de Neptuno i Diana y el Somni de Francesch Allegre, y las novelas castellanas . Este análisis muestra como resultado colateral que la intención de esto s textos no es trágica como en la novela sentimental . En cuanto a las secuencias que observé en m i libro La unidad genérica de la novela sentimental española de los siglos XV y XVI (1999) para las novelas castellanas, podemos encontrar reunidas algunas situaciones, pero en estos rudimentos n o reside el interés de las novelletes . Este se encuentra, antes bien, en rasgos que comparte con la no - vela sentimental en el plano estilístico y en la plasmación de escenas singulares originales de las qu e algunas se pueden conectar con motivos presentes en obras de Juan de Flores o Diego de San Pedro [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
