      The author talks about his career as chemist. His education came from Sydney Technical College and the New South Wales University of Technology and the University of New South Wales. The 1967 forgery of Australia's decimal currency is considered by the author as a critical point in his career. His work on the effect of defect groups on polymer properties and others relating to nitroxide trapping, nitroxide-mediated polymerisation and various details on initiator efficiency are cited.
