      The article explores Canadian writers that are focusing upon politics in their fiction works. Particular focus is given to those that are looking at identity and immigrant experience. Several books are also discussed including "The Last Neanderthal," by Claire Cameron, "Son of a Trickster," by Eden Robinson and "I Am a Truck," by Michelle Winters.
