- Abstract:
The article focuses on a study conducted by researchers from the School of Public Policy at Georgetown University, economists at the World Bank's Development Research Group, and Oeindrila Dube, former assistant professor of politics and economics at New York University, which revealed that reconciliation programs promote societal healing. Topics discussed include psychological impact of war, number of people killed by the 1991-2002 civil war in Sierra Leone, and findings of the study.
