- Abstract: In the article, the author discusses how the coronavirus pandemic provided an opportunity for a second chance and the reasons why many people are resistant to change. According to family therapist Virginia Satir, people prefer the certainty of misery than the misery of uncertainty. Also cited are the five steps to transformation like attitude, habits, observation and action, and how victims of calamities became survivors and masters of adversity.
