    • Abstract:
The article compares the views of 20th-century Christian apologist C. S. Lewis (1898-1963) with the doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS). Lewis's conversion from atheism to Christianity is discussed, as are his views on salvation through Jesus Christ, and the prospects for salvation of "virtuous unbelievers," or good people who are not Christians. This is compared with the LDS doctrine of salvation, according to which Lewis himself, as a non-Mormon, was a virtuous unbeliever.
