      The article discusses the potential advantages of practicing restraint with regard to the U.S. military budget. Aside from the protection of people, the defense budget of the country is used for various purposes including transforming failed states, solving terrorism and humanitarian missions. It explains how restraint will allow military spending reduction. The minimal amount of military budget needed for counterterrorism efforts is also emphasized.
