      The article discusses the advantages of online supercritical fluid extraction-supercritical fluid chromatography-mass spectrometry (SFE-SFC-MS) over traditional sample preparation and analysis. An example of solving sample preparation bottleneck across multiple industries using SFE-SFC-MS, noting how it minimizes sample preparation by enabling solid samples to be analyzed without sample extraction and cleanup, is provided. The wider range of sample polarities offered by SFE-SFC-MS is noted.
