      An editorial is provided in which the authors discuss the measurement of disaster resilience by communities through both top-down and bottom-up approaches. It discusses the use of the Composite of Post-Event Well-Being (COPEWELL) framework to gage community resilience, including its integration of physical, social and natural systems.
