      So I was encouraged by the federal government's recent announcement that it would increase its target for immigrants entering Canada, with a goal of bringing in 500,000 in 2025. We invited Banerjee and other Canadian thinkers to contribute to our annual Year Ahead issue, which features more than 100 predictions for the next 12 months, including the arrival of futuristic air taxis, AI health-care solutions and, yes, the dreaded recession.
