    • Abstract:
The article argues that the rise of China does not necessarily mean that it must become a threat to the U.S. It is noted that China must deal with massive rural poverty and inequality, and will suffer demographic problems from its one-child policy. Mutual advantages which China and the U.S. could gain from working together are described.
