Topics explored include the popularity of fancy dress entertainment events in Great Britain particularly the 19th century fancy dress balls held at the Covent Garden in London, England, the use of costumes during political protests, and the wearing of fancy dress costumes during the implementation of lockdown protocols in the midst of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
