- Abstract: The Ismaili mission (da'wa) from the very beginning was one of the most fundamental aspects of Ismailism. It was organized and carried out in great secrecy since the middle of the third century of Hijra, and was propagated in the name of the expected Mahdi, Muhammad b. Ismail, the eldest son of Ismail b. Jafar. Indeed, very little is known about the actual mission system of early Ismailism, but it is however certain that the Ismaili mission was dynamic and pervasive throughout the Islamic regions. In the broadest terms, it seems that Muhammad b. Ismail was represented by hujjats in different regions, and under them, a hierarchy of missionaries (dâ'îs) conducted the different tasks of initiation and instruction, while it was conducted in the name of Imams/caliphs after the establishment of the Fatimids. In the Fatimid period, the structure of the invitation became much more organized on the basis of a certain hierarchy. In this sense, Fatimid propaganda was made by sending a large number of dais to certain regions of the Islamic world. Among these regions, Iraq is one of the regions that stand out especially in terms of Ismaili invitation. In this sense, Baghdad, the capital of the Abbasid state and the center of attraction of the period, appears as the place where the invitation was most intense. Many Ismaili dais and scholars such as Abû Hâtim al-Râzî (d. 322/933), Muhammad b. Ahmad al-Nasafî (d. 332/943), Qadi al-Nu'mân (d. 363/974), Abû Ya'qûb al-Sijistânî (d. 393/1003), Hamîd al-Dîn al-Kirmânî (d. 411/1020), al-Mu'ayyad fî al-Dîn al-Shîrâzî (d. 470/1077) and Nâsir Khusraw (d. 481/1088) can be mentioned among the prominent representatives of the Ismaili dawa organization. Among them, Hamîd al-Dîn al-Kirmânî is one of the most distinguished dais who left a mark in the Ismaili thought both with his activities for the Ismaili mission in Iraq and Egypt, and and with his works that had a profound effect on Ismaili thought. This article aims to present some fragments of Kirmani's life and briefly touch upon his place in Ismaili thought. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
- Abstract: İsmâilî davet başlangıçtan beri İsmâilîliğin en temel özelliklerinden birini oluşturmuştur. Hicri üçüncü asrın ortalarından itibaren organize olmuş halde ve büyük bir gizlilik içerisinde yürütülen İsmâilî davet önceleri Muhammed b. İsmîil'in şahsında somutlaşan beklenen Mehdi adına yapılırken, Fâtımîlerin kurulmasından sonra imamlar/halifeler adına yapılmıştır. Fâtımîler döneminde davetin yapısı belli bir hiyerarşi temelinde çok daha organize bir hal almıştır. Bu anlamda İslam coğrafyasının belli başlı bölgelerine çok sayıda dai gönderilerek Fâtımî propagandası yapılmıştır. Bu bölgeler arasında özellikle öne çıkan Irak bölgesi olmuştur. Abbâsî devletinin başkenti ve dönemin cazibe merkezi olan Bağdat bu anlamda davetin en yoğun olduğu yer olarak karşımıza çıkar. İsmâilî davet yapılanmasının önde gelen temsilcileri arasında Ebû Hâtim er-Râzî (ö. 322/933), Muhammed b. Ahmed en-Nesefî (ö. 332/943), Kadı Numan (ö. 363/974), Ebû Ya'kûb es-Sicistânî (ö. 393/1003?), Hamîdüddin el-Kirmânî (ö. 411/1020), el-Müeyyed fi'd-Dîn eş-Şîrâzî (ö. 470/1077) ve Nâsır-ı Hüsrev (ö. 481/1088) gibi çok sayıda İsmâilî dai ve düşünür zikredilebilir. Bunlar arasında Hamîdu'd-Dîn el-Kirmânî en kayda değer dailerdendir. Gerek Irak ve Mısır'da İsmâilî davet adına yaptıkları gerekse yazdığı eserleriyle İsmâilî düşünce sistemi içerisinde iz bırakmış bir âlimdir. Bu makale Kirmânî'nin hayatına dair birtakım kesitler sunabilmeyi ve İsmâilî düşüncesi içerisindeki yerine kısaca değinmeyi amaçlamaktadır. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
