    • Abstract:
      The article focuses on the relations of Great Britain towards the European Community. It highlights the good impact of William the Conqueror's victory during the Battle of Hastings. It stresses the union of Great Britain with Europe declared by Lord Privy Seal Edward Richard George Heath during the European Community conference at the Quai d'Orsay in Paris, France in October 1962. The impeding action of Konrad Adenauer and Charles de Gaulle to Great Britain's aim is also discussed.
