      The article presents a study which determined the dimensionality of the goat-oriented attitudes and empathy of 260 stockpeople in the Norwegian dairy goat industry. It explores how empathic and attitudinal dimensions are interrelated and how the demographic background variables may predict empathy and attitudes. Different dimensions of attitudes and empathy were found to be associated with demographic variables and that each empathy directions was associated with a different attitude factor.
