CELULOZES, PAPĪRA, ZIEPJU UN MEDIKAMENTU RAŽOŠANA LATVIJĀ (1918-1944). (Latvian)

PRODUCTION OF CELLULOSE, PAPER, SOAP AND DRUGS IN LATVIA (1918-1944). (English)

In 1935 Latvia produced 13192 t of cellulose as well as 27447 t of paper of which 2662 t of cellulose and 9752 t of paper were exported. In 1935 paper was produced by 9 enterprises with 2148 of employed. The value of the production was 12.238 mil Lats. In 1940 there were about 400 employed in the production of safety matches. The largest enterprises were "Vulkāns" in Liepāja (167 workers) and "Vezuvs" in Riga (69 workers). In 1940 the amount production of safety matches was 94600 standard boxes (one standard box contained 1000 packages of safety matches). The factory of dry distillation of wood produced methyl alcohol, vinegar acid and acetone. Turpentine and colophony were produced from the stumps of coniferous trees. In 1935 Latvia produced 2930 t of soap. The factory "Medfro" produced mostly calcium gluconate and red streptocide (prontosile). "Farmacija" produced morphium, codeine and codeine phosphate. 1935. gadā Latvijā .saražoja 13192 t celulozes un 27447 t papīra. Eksportēja 2662 t celulozes un 9752 t papīra. 1935. gadā papīru ražoja 9 uzņēmumi, kas nodarbināja 2148 cilvēkus. Saražotās produkcijas vērtība bija 12.238 miljoni latu. 1940. gadā sērkociņu rūpniecībā nodarbināja ap 400 strādnieku. Lielākie uzņēmumi bija „Vulkāns" Liepājā (167 strādnieki) un „Vezuvs" Rīgā (69 strādnieki). 1940. gadā saražoja 94600 standartkastes sērkociņu (vienā standartkastē bija 1000 kārbiņu). Kokneses sausās pārtvaices fabrika ražoja metilspirtu, etiķskābi un acetonu. No skuju koku celmiem ražoja terpentīnu un kolofoniju. 1935. gadā saražoja 2930 t ziepju. Fabrika „Medfro" ražoja galvenokārt kalcija glukonātu un sarkano streptocīdu (prontosilu). „Farmācija" ražoja morfiju, kodeīnu un kodeīna fosfātu. Dažādus biopreparātus ražoja Kleistu serumstacija.
