      The article discusses the importance of appropriate trench protection solutions in a productive worksite and need for approval for protective solutions by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration. It gives information on how to select the right protective system and the factors for consideration for it which includes soils, dimensions of the working area, and surrounding area conditions for groundwater issues or existing utilities. It also suggests a training requirement for safety.
